Research Interest: My research interests are predominantly fixated on Ballroom culture, a vibrant queer countercultural phenomenon that first manifested itself during the 1920s. Now in 2023, I seek to understand how Ballroom culture has evolved and comprehend how the Ballroom community exists as a site of resistance against queer alienation, estrangement, and legal and extralegal violence.
Fun fact: I worked at a sleep-away summer camp the past two summers.
