The Amherst College Department of Music presents its annual Family Weekend Choral Society performance, preceded by a FREE 11 a.m. brunch outside Room 3.

The program, titled How Can I Keep From Singing?, includes works by Adolphus Hailstork, Sarah Quartel, Rosephanye Powell and more.

The tenors and basses premiere a work by Professor of Music Eric Sawyer,called "Heartland." "Heartland " is from from Sawyer's cycle A Winter's Ramble, and is a modern examination of the wanderer from Franz Schubert's famous Winterreise song cycle.

We finish with the College Songs that all alums are invited to join in singing, including "O Amherst" and "Paige's Horse"!

FREE and open to the public, with general admission
