Black alumni and current students gathered for a rich program featuring discussions about the experience of today's students, as well as a keynote address by historian, author and commentator Dr. Blair Kelley, and words from poet and scholar Sonia Sanchez. Amherst faculty offered four 30-minute classes based on their class topics. On Sunday, the College celebrated over 20 years of the Hermenia T. Gardner Bi-Semester African American Worship Series with a special worship service, followed by the Wisdom of the Elders dinner.
