Accalimed Authors and Poets Will Headline Eigth Annual LitFest, Feb. 23-26

This year’s lineup includes Pulitzer Prize winner Hilton Als, MacArthur Fellowship winner Valeria Luiselli and 2022 National Book Award finalists Meghan O’Rourke and Ingrid Rojas Contreras—plus readings by alumni authors and other exciting events. Most sessions will be held both in person and virtually.

Amherst Names Michael Thomas Its New Chief Financial and Administrative Officer
In March, Thomas will join Amherst from Middlebury College, where he most recently served as vice president for administration and chief risk officer. “Supporting Amherst College in the education of some of the brightest minds from around the world is an honor,” he says.

After Almost Three Years, the Mead Art Museum Has Reopened
Closed to the public since March 2020 amid the pandemic and construction concerns, the museum now invites visitors back to enjoy three new exhibitions: Untitled (Blue Placebo), Architectural Ghosts and—opening Feb. 24—God Made My Face: A Collective Portrait of James Baldwin.
