Registrations will be accepted until the program is full. Space is limited, but we will maintain a waiting list as there are frequently last-minute cancellations. Please note that any cancellation requests submitted after March 9 will receive a partial refund of $25.</p> <p>If you prefer not to register online, please call our office at (413) 542-2313 and say you want to register for Amherst Today. After you register by phone, mail a check payable to "Trustees of Amherst College" for your registration fee(s) to:</p> <p style="padding-left:30px;">ATTN: Amherst Today<br>Alumni and Parent Programs #2220<br>Amherst College<br>Amherst, MA 01002-5000</p> <h5>Checking in</h5> <p>For anyone able to come early on Friday, April 8, we encourage you to attend any of the classes faculty have agreed to open to visitors. A list of available classes will be posted on this site in March and will be provided in your packet. In order not to disrupt the class, please plan to arrive early and introduce yourself to the professor, and remain for the entire session.</p> <p>On Friday, registration packets will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Smith House, 22 Hitchcock Road. Packets will include your nametag, the schedule, participant biographies, a list of open classes and meal tickets.&nbsp;</p> <h5>Getting to Amherst</h5> <p>Please see the college's <a href="/mm/19373"><strong>Public Transportation</strong></a> page for information about getting to Amherst by air, bus or train (including information about shuttle and limousine services). If traveling by car, see our <a href="/mm/19334" title="Driving Directions"><strong>Driving Directions</strong>.</a></p> <h5>PARKING</h5> <p>Participants will receive a parking pass in advance of the program which will enable them to park in designated areas on the main campus.&nbsp;The preferred parking location for this event is the <strong><a href="https://www.amherst.edu/media/view/140212/original/Alumni%20Lot%20Directions.pdf">Alumni Parking Lot</a></strong>. All handicapped parking placards will be honored by the Amherst College Campus Police. The Town of Amherst has designated weekday <em>Permit Parking Only</em> areas in the campus vicinity. You may park in these spaces on Saturdays and Sundays only, and cars will be ticketed by the town if parked there at any other time. Metered parking is available along Boltwood Avenue.</p> <h5><a name="lodging"></a>Lodging Information</h5> <p>To reserve a single queen room for a special rate of $159 at the Courtyard Marriott, please call (413) 256-5454 and mention "Amherst Today" by March 8, 2016. To reserve a single king room for a special rate of $115 or a room with two double beds for a special rate of $120 at the Econo Lodge, please call (413) 582-7077 and mention "Amherst Today" by March 8, 2016. Please be aware that due to the nature of wireless signals you may not receive any wireless reception in some areas of certain buildings.<br><br>In order to access both the wireless and Ethernet networks, alumni must first <strong><a href="https://www.amherst.edu/mm/1155">register their computers</a> </strong>on the Amherst network. When your device is on the Amherst network, you will need to open a Web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Chrome). You should automatically be taken to the NetReg page.
