The most listened to doctor in America, Dr. Drew is the host of the nationally syndicated radio show Loveline where he has been taking calls from listeners since 1982.  Many people do not know that Dr. Drew is an internist who is board certified in addiction medicine, still runs a private practice, and is Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Keck USC School of Medicine. 

Dr. Drew and Vh1 teamed up for the first reality series on television to depict the process of overcoming addiction. Now in its second season, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew was critically acclaimed by the addiction community for pulling back the veil of secrecy about what goes on in rehabilitation programs. Both shows were huge ratings success for the network. Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House, which chronicles the sober living process, began airing in January 2009.

Dr. Drew’s groundbreaking series on MTV, Sex…with Mom and Dad, is back for a second season to help 20 more teens, and their parents, get to the root of their problems when it comes to the taboo topic of sex. Real, fun, awkward, life-changing, and more dramatic than ever, Sex…with Mom and Dad proves that if you can talk to your parents about sex, you can talk to them about anything.  Premiered February 16, 2009, Mondays – Thursdays at 4 PM on MTV.

Using the media to deliver information, Dr. Drew often appearance on television and radio to talk about sex, relationships, and addiction. In March he guest hosted for Larry King Live and is a regular contributor on the Today Show. Dr. Drew has stopped in to visit Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, Craig Ferguson, Conan O’Brien, and Chelsea Lately to name a few. He has been profiled in Rolling Stone, Playboy, and Muscle & Fitness and was named one of the top 10 Real Sexiest Men by O Magazine, and one of the top 10 Silver Foxes by OK Magazine.

Dr. Drew is the author of two books. Cracked: Putting Broken Lives Together Again (Harper-Collins) is about his experience treating addicts. His second book The Mirror Effect:  How Celebrity Narcissism is Seducing America (Harper-Collins) was released in March 17, 09 and instantly became a bestseller.  Dr. Drew co-authored the first academic study on celebrities and narcissism.  The study, which received worldwide press coverage, was published in the Journal of Research in Personality (Elsevier), and is the first systematic, empirical scholarly study of celebrity personality.

 When he’s not traveling the country speaking at college campuses, Dr. Drew enjoy playing sports, working out and spending time at home with his wife Susan and their triplets.
