Login information will be provided in the confirmation email

Latinx alumni and students are invited to join us for a virtual Logros Latinxs! We know that folks may be weary of Zoom gatherings, but after two years of the pandemic, connection is more important than ever. Alumni and students alike are eager to hear from each other: what brought them to Amherst, and what comes afterward?

The program will begin with two alumni in conversation, Jose Francisco Abad, M.D., FAAFP '03 and Mayra Bruno '13, sharing their experiences and stories about life during and after Amherst. The program will be moderated by Julia Herion-Cruz '19.

Dr. Abad is a Family Medicine physician working in primary care for UPMC. He is also an administrative medical director of clinical informatics, specifically working with physicians to incorporate the electronic medical record more efficiently into clinical practice. Mayra Bruno, a Chicago native, is an associate at Fox Rothschild LLP where she counsels businesses throughout the United States on a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including workplace investigations, employee handbooks, human resources policies and harassment prevention training.

This discussion will be followed by breakout sessions with an opportunity for Latinx alumni and students to connect. We hope to see you there!

Students who register will receive a gift bag in their mailbox in advance. Alumni will receive a thank you gift in the mail following the event.
