 In Memory

We are both saddened and shocked by the sudden death of Robert B. Swain in an automobile accident in West Hartford, Conn., on Aug. 16, 1979.

Born in Hartford, Conn., on Aug. 19, 1953, Bob prepared for Amherst at Kingswood-Oxford School. At Amherst, he was a member of Theta Delta Chi and majored in biology. He was well liked by both the faculty and students and was a very active soccer player.

After graduation, he taught at a prep school and, at the time of his death, was a second-year medical student at the University of Cincinnati.

Bob is survived by his parents. Robert B. Jr. and Joan (Wood) Swain of Old Saybrook, Conn.; three sisters, Virginia Camp of Madison, Conn., Barbara Harriman of Chappaqua, N.Y., and Wendy Holt, also of Old Saybrook; his paternal grandfather, Robert B. Swain, of West Hartford; three nephews; and two nieces.

The class extends it sincere condolences to all of Bob’s family. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
