24/7 Response

Student Affairs has someone on call 24/7 who can be helpful for support or provide resources at any time of day or night.  You can be connected with an on-call administrator by calling College Dispatch at  413-542-2291.

Center for Counseling and Mental Health (CCMH)  provides counselors who are available 24/7.  You can contact CCMH at 413-542-2354.

The Amherst College Police Department (ACPD) is also a 24/7 resource available for support. Contact ACPD at College Dispatch:  413-542-2291.

Whether your experience was today, last week, or years ago, various Amherst College and Community resources can help you figure out a path forward. There is no time limit on these resources, nor do you need to take any formal action to access these resources. Additionally, resources and support are provided to all community members regardless of status within any process.

Community Based Resources

The Center of Women and Community is located at UMass. The CWC, as it is often called, provides confidential support to survivors of sexual violence of any gender and sexual identity, including a 24/7 hotline that can be reached at: 413-545-0800.  

The CWC has trained advocates who can assist you in thinking through what next steps are right for you.

Safe Passage has a helpline that is staffed with individuals who are well-trained in assisting others with matters related to interpersonal gender-based violence: www.safepass.org or 413-586-5066
