Goal setting in the Annual Review allows staff and supervisors to create a shared understanding of what will be accomplished in the coming year, supports personal and professional growth, and sets the groundwork for successful performance development. Often, the goal setting process may seem daunting, or folks don’t know where to start or what to set goals about. This workshop will outline types of goals which may be set as part of the Annual Review, discuss best practices for setting SMART goals, and offer an opportunity to workshop goals so that you leave with at least one to include in your self reflection.
