AMHERST, Mass. – The Music at Amherst Parallels Series closes its inaugural season with a performance by the Dave Holland Quintet on Sunday, April 18, at 8 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College. Tickets are available for purchase beginning April 5 through the Amherst College Concert Office; advance reservations are highly recommended.

Now at the pinnacle of his long and distinguished career, multi-award-winning bassist, composer, arranger and bandleader Dave Holland is considered a living jazz master. The Dave Holland Quintet—which is made up of Holland on bass, trombonist Robin Eubanks, vibraphonist Steve Nelson, saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Nate Smith—keep their music vibrant and vital by delving deep into global rhythmic traditions and integrating innovations from the worlds of hip-hop and R&B.
