Dear New Student, 

Welcome to Amherst College! To stay informed about orientation and everything else Amherst has to offer, be sure to access your Amherst College student email address. All official college communications will be sent to your student email. 

If you haven’t accessed your email yet, follow these instructions: 

Go to gmail.com. Select “Sign in.” If logged in already, log out and then select “Use another account.” 

Type your full Amherst email address then select “Next.” In most cases, your email address is the username used during the application period and follows this format: firstinitiallastname28@amherst.edu. For transfer students, we’ve changed your username to reflect your current class year.

Log in using your Amherst username and password, which is the same as the one set up during the application period.
