Gender Inclusive Restrooms on the Amherst Campus

Gender-inclusive restrooms (GIR) are a place where gender-variant and trans people can use the restroom without fear of gender policing, which can manifest as harassment and physical violence in gender-segregated spaces.The QRC recognizes the value of having all types of restrooms available – single, lockable stalls and multi-stalls, gender-specific and gender-inclusive – and continues to advocate for restrooms that will serve all community members needs on campus. ALL community members have equal access to the restroom(s) that correspond best with their gender identity.
