ID cards for the HMO Blue New England population were incorrectly sent to members with the plan name “Blue Choice New England” on the top of the card and the Blue Choice New England population incorrectly received ID cards with the plan name “HMO Blue NE”. Please note the benefits on the cards are correct such as copays, deductible and out of pocket max. It is just the plan name on top that is incorrect, and all of these members are correctly enrolled in the right plans. New IDs are being created and will be sent out as soon as possible.

TIAA members can receive personalized advice and education from a TIAA financial consultant, at no additional cost. We are using TIAA’s services for the scheduling of individual counseling sessions. Each member of the Amherst College staff and faculty—and their household members— is eligible for up to 6 counseling sessions per issue per year through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), New Directions. This benefit is completely confidential and is at no cost to the individual. Please note that the EAP can provide support on any issue, there are no limits

In addition to emotional support, the EAP also offers crisis support, coaching, legal and financial consultation, substance use disorder education, adult and child care resources, leadership support, resources and referrals, and much more.
