Sustainability Statistics and Data Science Sustainability Fellows

Elizabeth is a senior majoring in statistics and completing a certificate in Culture, Health, and Science. As a statistics and data science fellow, she has explored sustainable food sourcing, water and electricity usage in dorms, and campus-wide scope-1 and -2 carbon emissions. Elizabeth is interested in using data to encourage institutional change and raise awareness around sustainability. In her free time, she enjoys reading new books, hiking and backpacking, and spending time outside. 

Emma is a junior Mathematics and Statistics double major from Haverford, Pennsylvania. They work with other statistics and data science fellows with the Office of Sustainability to collect and analyze campus carbon emission and related sustainability data. Currently they are evaluating carbon emissions from the athletic department and will be working with study abroad emissions in the coming semester. Emma is an avid hockey fan (go Flyers!), member of the Amherst rowing team, and in their free time enjoys reading and running on the rail trail.
