Description
A study in depth of the filmwork of Alfred Hitchcock, taking account of his status as a master auteur and as the classic, meta-classic and post-classic Hollywood filmmaker par excellence. In addition to discussion of key films, serious consideration will be given to readings drawn from the extensive secondary literature about Hitchcock and the significance of his work. Three class hours per week and weekly screenings.
