Mead Art Museum | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Mead holds the art collection of Amherst College, celebrated for its American and European paintings, Mexican ceramics, Tibetan scroll paintings, English paneled room, ancient Assyrian carvings, Russian avant-garde art, West African sculpture and Japanese prints.

Beneski Museum of Natural History | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Beneski Museum of Natural History is one of New England’s largest natural history museums, featuring three floors of exhibits with more than 1,700 specimens on display, and tens of thousands of specimens available for use by scholars and researchers from across campus and around the world.

Emily Dickinson Museum | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Emily Dickinson Museum comprises two historic houses in the center of Amherst, Massachusetts associated with the poet Emily Dickinson and members of her family during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Advance reservations required (fee may apply).

Mammoth Market | 2:30 – 6 p.m.
Mammoth Market at Schwemm’s Cafe is located in Keefe Campus Center and offers an array of items, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, scarves, mugs and other products.

Wildlife Sanctuary
The Amherst College Wildlife Sanctuary includes approximately 500 acres in a diverse collection of open fields (both actively maintained and unmanaged), wetlands, flood plain woods, river, upland woods, plantation pines, and ponds—and is an important place for both recreation and research.

You can access our interactive campus map, follow our online virtual tour or pick up our self-guided tour booklet and print campus map, available in the visitor information box outside the front door of the Admission Office.

10:30am - 1:00pm Mount Sugarloaf Morning Hike

[Weather permitting] Join a spring hike at nearby Mount Sugarloaf for a majestic view of the Connecticut River Valley. Please bring sturdy walking shoes, water, sun protection, and a bagged lunch (if you want to picnic at the summit). The hike is ~3 miles and includes a mild elevation gain (~450'). If you wish to carpool, contact Kelvin Chen '16 to pre-register for the hike and plan to meet at the Alumni House parking lot. Those driving separately should contact Kelvin Chen '16 in advance to coordinate a meeting time at the South Sugarloaf Parking Lot. Kelvin's phone number can be found in the printed version of the schedule.

The Amherst Asian Alumni Network invites you to our fourth annual senior thesis symposium! Join us for a moderated conversation with seniors from the Class of 2023 on research they conducted over the past year in the field of Asian/Pacific/American Studies. This year we also celebrate the generous donations of alumni in funding the inaugural Franklin S. Odo Prize, which will be awarded annually to a senior who has produced an outstanding thesis in the area of Asian/Pacific/American Studies. The prize is named in honor of Professor Odo in recognition of his foundational contributions to the field of Asian/Pacific/American Studies as well as his extraordinary dedication to the students of Amherst College.

John Cho is a Korean American actor and New York Times bestselling author. He first came into the national spotlight with the hit comedy American Pie, and starred as ‘Harold Lee’ in the comedy series Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and ‘Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu’ in the motion picture reboots of Star Trek.
