Audio Options
While in a Call select the “Audio” option while in the app to open the Desktop audio settings.  From here you can select different devices and easily switch to a different speaker or microphone during a call.

Call Park
A Park is slightly different from a transfer. With a Park, the call is placed on hold, and someone else with a Zoom phone calls the “Retrieval code” to resume the call from anywhere. This would be useful if multiple people could potentially take a call or if someone finds a transfer cumbersome.

How to Park once in a call

Click or tap More while on a call. You will see this option on your screen.

Select Park.

A notification with the 3-digit retrieval code starting with a * will appear in your Zoom app. If you have a desk phone this code will be spoken out loud to you. On the Zoom desktop app, it will just be a notification with the code.

The call will be parked, and the other participant will be placed on hold.

Record the 3-digit retrieval code and send it to the phone user to retrieve the parked call.

Note: You can resume the parked call and reassign it to the same 3-digit retrieval code. The call will be parked with the same code for up to 3 minutes, after which the code will be released.

How to Transfer

During a call, press the Transfer button.

  1. Pick a transfer method:
    1. Warm transfer: Put the call on hold while you finish the transfer. This is handy if you need to navigate an automated system for the caller or want to talk to the person receiving the call first.
    2. Blind transfer (default): Instantly transfer the call and hang up.
  2. Dial or select the number you want to transfer to. Just dial their extension number to transfer to an internal Zoom Phone user.
  3. Complete the transfer:
    1. For a blind transfer, tap the phone icon.
    2. For a consultative transfer, press Transfer.

Elevate a call to a Zoom Meeting

Meeting Invite: The other person receives a meeting invite if they are using Zoom.

  • Audio-Only Participants: Those on regular phones join the meeting as audio-only participants, identified by a phone icon in the participants list.
