Former Math QFellow Allison Randy-Cofie '19 has created the suggested study plan below based on her own experience preparing for Math Comps. 

Week 1 prep

Day 1

Read syllabus and make note of topics that have been forgotten. Start going over theorems and definitions

 

Day 2

Work through linear study guide

 

Day 3

Work through linear study guide

 

Day 4

Work through multivariable study guide

 

Day 5

Work through multivariable study guide

 

Day 6

Work through subject study guide

 

Day 7

Take a break / Finish off items from earlier in the week

 

Week 2 prep

Day 1

Work through 3 core exams and make note of problem areas

 

Day 2

Review notes/videos on topics that you got incorrect on the core tests

 

Day 3

Work through more questions on problem areas

 

Day 4

Work through at least 3 subject exams and make note of problem areas

 

Day 5

Review notes/videos on topics that you got incorrect on the subject tests

 

Day 6

Work through more questions on problem areas

 

Day 7

Take a break/ Finish off items from earlier in the week

Day 1

Full practice test under test conditions

 

Day 2

Review test

 

Day 3

Full practice test under test conditions

 

Day 4

Review test

 

Day 5

Make note of problem areas and go over definitions and theorems

 

Day 6

Take a break
