General Information

REGISTRATION for Amherst Today

The registration fee for the program and meals (lunch and dinner Thursday, breakfast and lunch Friday) is $75. The registration deadline is April 14, 2014. After April 14 only $25 of the fee is refundable, and no readings will be mailed; those not available online will be provided upon arrival. Space is limited, but we will maintain a waiting list as there are frequently last-minute cancellations.

Checking in

For those of you who are able to come early on Thursday, April 24, we encourage you to attend any of the classes faculty have agreed to open to visitors. A list of available classes will be posted on this site, and will be provided in your packet. In order not to disrupt the class, please plan to arrive early and introduce yourself to the professor, and then remain for the entire session.

Registration packets will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Smith House, 22 HItchcock Road. Packets will include your nametag, the schedule, participant biographies, a list of open classes and meal tickets for Thursday lunch* and Friday breakfast and lunch. Your nametag will be your ticket to the reception and dinner on Thursday and closing reception on Friday. At 3:00 p.m. on Thursday we will move registration to the lobby of Fayerweather Hall, where check-in will be available prior to the opening session at 4 p.m.

*On Thursday we recommend you try to arrive early (lunch is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to avoid long lines. There will be a space for Amherst Today participants set aside in the Weiller Wing, just to your left as you enter the dining hall.
