Fall 2018 TA Training

On September 16, 2018, the Center for Teaching Excellence, in partnership with the Moss Quantitative Center and the Loeb Center for Career Exploration and Planning, hosted the second annual TA Training workshop for TAs and Fellows in the Quantitative Disciplines. This training was provided to over 50 TAs from 8 departments. Sessions focused on the importance of growth mindset, how to effectively facilitate drop-in sessions and office hours, best practices in being a lab TA, strategies for grading to improve student learning, and how to use your role as a TA or Fellow to enhance your own mentorship and leadership skills.

Links to the resources provided during this training, including session handouts and slides from the plenary discussions, are available here.
