In the Fall of 2022, the Center for Teaching and Learning formed a new Student Advisory Team. We are thrilled to be partnering with students to better integrate their perspectives into the work we are doing in the CTL. Some of the conversations we engage in are about building relationships, grading, strategies for staying engaged as learners, adjustments for them when arriving as first years or transfer students at Amherst College and what they would like to have known. Their insightful ideas are explored further throughout the year and in partnership with departments across campus. These ideas align with research on the subject and are also threads running through the work of the CTL.
