Amherst Center for Russian Culture Evgenii Bershtein, Reed College

Evgenii Bershtein received his education at Tartu University and UC Berkeley. Presently he is Professor of Russian and Chair of the Russian department at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Bershtein has published on eighteenth-century Russian poetry, the cultural and intellectual history of Russian modernism,  and Russian film; he has  also edited the English translation of Yuri Lotman's Non-Memoirs (Dalkey Archive Press, 2014). His current project is entitled Eisenstein, Sexuality, and Decadence.
